Volkswagen Concept Car

After months of work by Volkswagen manufacturers, the Volkswagen Atlas Pickup concept car was unveiled at the New York International Auto Show. This exciting reveal showed a new type of pickup truck that creatively mixes style and utility in a way not typically found in this class of vehicle. The new Volkswagen Atlas Tanoak takes all of the best qualities of the Volkswagen Atlas that Peoria customers love, and it combines them with the style of a pickup truck.

There’s real innovation behind the design of the Volkswagen Atlas concept car. This vehicle has the highly flexible platform architecture of modern Volkswagen vehicles, but is in the form of a pickup. It was modeled off of the Atlas SUV, but the chassis has been extended to about 214.1 inches. The model has also been raised 9.8 inches off the ground, and carries the trademark Volkswagen power of a 4Motion all-wheel-drive and 3.6-liter V6 engine.

Volkswagen Atlas Pickup Concept Meets Customers’ Needs

Just like our Peoria Volkswagen dealership, Volkswagen places the customers’ interests first. When engineering the new Atlas concept car, technicians imagined what drivers would want and need. One example is the extendable roof rail, because while pickups are great for heavy-duty loads, they can struggle with longer objects. The interior even sports an advanced digital display and contoured seating for comfortable and convenient driving.

Based off the praise this concept car has seen, it will be no surprise to local drivers if they see similar Volkswagen vehicles on the market in the near future. Special touches like dramatic LED lighting next to the grille are particularly well-liked features that may appear in future models.
