Our Avondale area Volkswagen dealership is proud to announce that Volkswagen has partnered with NVIDIA to expand its usage of artificial intelligence beyond autonomous vehicles. Through this partnership, the Volkswagen brand hopes to use AI and deep learning to power new opportunities within its corporate business functions—not just vehicle manufacturing.

Beyond the Volkswagen brand, the partnership aims to help other startups in the automotive industry. For example, the Volkswagen Data Lab is opening a startup support program that’s focused on machine learning and deep learning with NVIDIA’s help.

Volkswagen and NVIDIA partnership

“Artificial intelligence is the key to the digital future of the Volkswagen group. We want to develop and deploy high-performance AI systems ourselves. This is why we are expanding our expert knowledge required. Cooperation with NVIDIA will be a major step in this direction,” said Dr. Martin Hoffman, CIO of the Volkswagen Group.

Prior to the partnership announcement, NVIDIA was already working with Volkswagen on the VW-owned Audi brand to create self-driving cars. And previously, VW has collaborated with NIVIDIA on models like the E-Golf, which includes the NVIDIA Tegra superchip that offers industry-leading graphics and speed. While waiting for what will come out of this exciting partnership, shoppers can check out the technology in new Volkswagen models at our Avondale area dealership for a taste of what the partnership of these brands is capable of!
