A portion of the festival’s proceeds will go to benefitting the Peoria Diamond Club.
The Peoria Diamond Club, established in 1993, operates spring training in partnership with the Mariners, Padres, and the city of Peoria. In exchange for providing a volunteer workforce to help with parking, ticket sales, and other functions during games, the club shares in revenue from those efforts and redistributes the funds through its grant program.
In 2014 alone, more than 600 c volunteers donated more than 22,000 hours to club projects and events, and the club awarded $105,641 in grants to 18 organizations. Since its founding, the Peoria Diamond Club has donated more than $1.5 million to hundreds of local organizations benefiting thousands of children!

Especially during this time of year, the roads can get busy—between school buses and children walking to school, so it’s important to be an alert driver. You’ve probably noticed school zones around your children’s schools. Symptoms of Heat Exhaustion:
- Heavy sweating
- Weakness
- Cold, pale, and clammy skin
- Fast, weak pulse
- Nausea or vomiting
- Fainting
There are many ways to combat heat exhaustion if you notice any of these symptoms. Our Volkswagen dealership in Peoria first suggests moving to a cooler location. Lie down and loosen your clothing. What You Need:
- 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 ½ cups white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- In a small bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg and vanilla. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients.

- Bake 8 to 10 minutes, or until golden brown.
