2019 VW Jetta vs. 2018 VW Jetta

If you're an experienced auto shopper near Phoenix, you may have looked at a Volkswagen model from two different years and wondered if there was truly that much of a difference. While some manufacturers produce seemingly the same model with little to no changes, Volkswagen is a brand that believes in vehicle innovation. Each year the brand comes out with models with noticeable improvements to already great designs in order to show that they will continue to push the envelope in vehicle technology and convenience. This holds true in the comparison of the 2019 Jetta and the 2018 Jetta.

Drivers in the Phoenix area will notice changes in the 2019 Jetta when they take it for a test drive at our Volkswagen dealership. Compared to its previous generation, the newest Jetta shows a more aggressive appearance with a chiseled hood and bold chrome bar grill. It also receives standard full LED lighting compared to the previous year's available LED lighting, so you're guaranteed to illuminate the road wherever you go. With the new look, you'll be ready to show off the more sporty appearance when you're cruising into work or picking up your kids from soccer practice.
More changes in the 2019 Jetta include an improvement in fuel efficiency. This year's Jetta offers new EPA estimated ratings of 30/40 MPG compared to last year's 28/40 MPG, which means you'll be able to cruise through the city in style with fewer stops and a fuller wallet. The better fuel economy is thanks to the now standard six-speed manual transmission with an impressive eight-speed automatic upgrade, which also allows for smoother transitions. Also newly standard in the 2019 model is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Whereas the 2018 Jetta offers these as an available connectivity feature, this year's model includes these and the Volkswagen Car-Net® App-Connect as standard features.
