And Car-Net can now integrate with Siri, the voice-assist guide available on Apple smartphones. Drivers can request their favorite songs, ask about the weather, and call their friends without ever removing their hands from the wheel and eyes from the road.

And it isn’t just behind the wheel that Siri/Car-Net integration can come in handy. The Car-Net App for your mobile phone allows you to check your car’s location and vitals, or remotely lock, unlock, start, or defrost your vehicle.
On a chilly evening, for example, Volkswagen owners can log into the app on their phone and say “Siri, start my car,” and then tell it to heat the cabin to a certain temperature. Leaving the big game in Glendale and forgotten where you parked? “Siri, where’s my car?”
Owners can also request Siri honk the horn and flash the lights to make finding it easier, or determine whether they should plan to gas up on the drive home by asking Siri what their remaining fuel range is.
Users can even personalize their Siri commands for different functions for optimal convenience.
